The Liar and His Lover

Music addicted teenager Yoon So-rim obsesses over the hit band Crude Play and attends an audition for her own music.

Sorim asks for a date after she meets Hangyeol by saying she crushes on him when he records his music with her phone. Hangyeol tells Sorim to erase the file of his new song, and gives his number to her. Whereas Yuna speaks her mind to the agency.

Hangyeol feels a deep emotion when he hears Sorim's perfect singing voice. Sorim cannot hide her depression due to her broken phone. Meanwhile, Hangyeol remembers Sorim's school uniform and visits her high school to meet her.

Hangyeol's agency asks Hangyeol to produce Sorim's song, and he also makes a contract with her and her band members. Chanyoung tells the agency that he wants to write Sorim's song. Whereas, Yuna hears that Hangyeol writes a song after breakup.

Seo Chanyoung from Crude Play suggests Sorim that he will produce her song. Sorim meets Hangyeol and tells the reason behind her rejection of singing Hangyeol's song, that Hangyeol once says he does not like a singing woman.

Sorim hates that Hangyeol hides his identity as a Crude Play member K. Chanyoung takes care of Sorim; they sing the song together. Whereas Sorim and her band members' parents visit the agency, and they agree to take a level test.

Sorim's band finishes their first live show even though they have some trouble in sound mixing. After the show, their agency tells that the song is written by Chanyoung, which is actually written by Hangyeol to attract the listeners.

After reading the news about Crude Play's ghost singer, and notices Sihyun gets a suspicion of it. Whereas, Hangyeol's father, who is a street performer, visits Hangyeol. The agency negotiates with the journalist to cover the news about ghost singer.

Chanyoung celebrates Sorim's debut, and they spend a joyful time together. Whereas, Yuna tells Hangyeol that she will sing the song that Sorim rejects, and makes Hangyeol misunderstand Sorim's choice. Yuna also tells the agency about her decision.

Hangyeol tells his emotion about Sorim to her, and they spend a lovely time together. Sorim and her band get busy with multiple live shows and concerts; whereas, Hangyeol misses Sorim since he cannot contact with her due to her busy schedules.

Hangyeol tells his mind about Sorim to her while they ride a bike together. Chanyoung tries to interrupt their relationship, and spends his day only with Sorim. Whereas, journalists write news about Chanyoung and Sorim's romantic relationship.

Hangyeol warns Chanyoung to not to interrupt his relationship with Sorim. When Sorim's grandmother goes to the hospital, Hangyeol send lunch box to Sorim to sooth her mind. Crude Play members worry about the struggle between Hangyeol and Chanyoung.

Due to Chanyoung's absence, Hangyeol goes into the Music Sketchbook gig with Crude Play. Sorim goes to Chanyoung's home to comfort his heart, and Hangyeol also goes to his home to find Sorim. Hangyeol meets Chanyoung and tells about his importance.

The agency gets confused due to a lot of news about Chanyoung's absence and Crude Play's relationship. Then, news come out about Sorim and Hangyeol's date. Hangyeol tries to revoke Chanyoung's decision, yet Chanyoung never gives up.

Hangyeol gets mad since he thinks that Inho's injury is solely his fault. Chanyoung gets a suggestion from the agency to do a production of Mush and Co.'s music. Whereas, the owner of the agency fires the agent due to the multiple scandals.

Crude Play holds a press conference to apology their ghost player issue and announces their resting period. The owner of the agency tells Crude Play that he will sue them for the damages and trademark for the band name.
