In the Boran family estate in Bursa live Mrs. Esma and her four sons: Faruk, Fikret, Osman and Murat; Süreyya lives with her aunt in Istanbul and makes a living from odd jobs playing and singing; fate brings together Süreyya and wealthy Faruk.

Esma wants Faruk to reschedule his trip to Istanbul and stay at home; Faruk tries to court Süreyya, but is refused; Esma designates İpek as a bride without his knowledge; Süreyya responds to a work order on Bursa.

It turns out that Faruk organized a fictitious event at the hotel so he could get to know Süreyya; Ömer waits for Süreyya in front of her door, stabs Faruk and runs away; an angry Esma tries to keep Süreyya away from her son.

Faruk proposes to Süreyya; Esma invites İpek and her parents to close the wedding matter; Faruk surprises everyone when he comes with Süreyya; Esma's rage causes Süreyya to flee back to Istanbul, but Faruk stops her.

After the embarrassing evening at the mansion, Esma promises İpek that she will marry Faruk anyway; Faruk persuades Süreyya to marry him in a flash wedding without notifying his mother; İpek tears off the cloak that Esma gave her.

Faruk brings Süreyya to the mansion and Esma responds angrily; Faruk's brothers meet with Süreyya; Esma is trying to make things difficult for Süreyya through old customs.

Süreyya tries to get used to the customs of the estate despite the difficulty; Esma asks for İpek's hand for Fikret; Ömer breaks into Aunt Senem's house and wants to know where Süreyya is.

Süreyya prepares breakfast for the family, which provokes Esma's anger; the family goes to ask for İpek's hand for Fikret, who has been in love with her for years; Ömer continues to follow Süreyya.

The family goes out to buy jewelry and wedding dresses, and Senem sees Ömer; Süreyya confronts him, and he promises to turn himself in; Süreyya's friends celebrate with her at a bachelorette party; Fikret gets drunk and misses the henna night.

The Boran family is preparing for a double wedding: Faruk and Süreyya, and Fikret and İpek; in the evening, Henna Süreyya takes the stage and sings, and Faruk is angry with her; the wedding is interrupted when Ömer threatens to shoot.

After the wedding is ruined, the family returns to the estate; Faruk goes to the police station to meet the suspect; İpek continues to behave strangely towards her husband; the governor and the commissioner pay a courtesy visit to the Boran family.

İpek continues to make excuses and avoid her husband; Faruk argues with Süreyya for not telling him that she had met Ömer before the wedding; Esma scolds İpek for exposing family affairs to strangers.

Faruk and Süreyya argue; Esma discovers the cake Nurgül baked for Fikret's birthday and humiliates her for it; when a journalist brings her photos of her daughter-in-law hanging out in a pub, she decides to act and calls the lawyer.

Esma prepares a divorce agreement for Faruk and Süreyya, and asks the lawyer to speak with Süreyya; Dilara decides to stay in Bursa and open the music school; Süreyya demands that Faruk be held accountable for the agreement.

İpek treats maids with dominion; a man vows to avenge his father; Faruk and Süreyya reconcile, and he offers to open the music school she and Dilara dreamed of; they return to Bursa for the memorial service of his father, Fevzi.

Dr. Begüm, Faruk's past love, returns from England and rents the apartment Faruk had previously bought her; Adem opens a competing transportation company; Reyhan comes to Fevzi's memorial, and her sister Kıymet meets her.

Mrs. Esma is angry about İpek's attempt to leave the estate and buy a house with Fikret; Süreyya and Dilara make final preparations for the opening of the music school; Faruk discovers that Reyhan and Kıymet are sisters.

Mrs. Esma catches Senem trying to sell inherited jewelry; Süreyya and Dilara celebrate the opening of the music school; Begüm appears, to the surprise of all those present.

Mrs. Esma pays Senem's debt and demands she always does what's asked; Faruk confronts Begüm, an ex-girlfriend who reappeared after disappearing from his life 10 years ago; Bade tries to commit suicide because of her love for Murat.

Fikret buys a house unexpectedly, which makes İpek happy and greatly upsets Esma and Faruk; Süreyya confronts Esma about the marriage she wants to impose on Bade; Murat is not willing to take responsibility for his actions.

The house is in turmoil after the Bade and Murat affair, and Faruk wants to calm the situation and organizes a barbecue for the family; Begüm undergoes treatment, and Süreyya brings Emir to dine at the mansion so he won't be left alone.

When İdil can't be at home with Emir after Begüm's treatment, Süreyya invites him to stay with them; after the conversation with Emir, the whole family suspects that he is Faruk's son, but Süreyya is not aware.

Faruk becomes angry with Begüm; Süreyya realizes that she has a short time left until the birth and decides to enjoy life; Süreyya and Emir grow closer.

Faruk tells his mother that Emir has another father; Esma goes to talk to Begüm; the four brothers hold a surprise party for Esma in honor of Mother's Day; following a plot by Fikret's wife, Süreyya is left bleeding and at risk of a miscarriage.

Faruk talks to Begüm and discovers that Emir is actually his son; Esma receives the DNA test results and discovers Emir is her grandson; Süreyya is treated by Begüm in the hospital then returns home to rest.

Faruk invites Mrs. Esma to his office to confront her; he accuses her of leaving Begüm and of having stolen 10 years of his life as Emir's father; Süreyya tries to figure out what Faruk is hiding from her.

Esma makes a surprise visit to Begüm and tries to dictate Emir's treatment; Süreyya is informed that she needs to have an amniocentesis; İpek discovers that she is pregnant; Süreyya invites Begüm and Emir to dinner at the mansion.

Emir gives Esma the pin she dropped when she went to see Begüm back; Faruk is angry about the visit, so he leaves the estate with Süreyya; Süreyya undergoes an amniocentesis.

Esma leaves the estate with Nurgül and Mustafa without notifying anyone; Faruk and Süreyya go to see the house they will move into; the brothers are angry at Faruk for leaving; Murat accuses Süreyya of leaving his mother.

İpek arrives at Süreyya and Faruk's new home to tell Süreyya about the past relationship between Faruk and Begüm; Murat is seriously injured in a motorcycle accident, and the family gathers in the hospital; Süreyya asks everyone to stay united.

Begüm invites Faruk to her home to see pictures of Emir as a baby; Süreyya unexpectedly arrives at Begüm's home and finds them together; a hospitalzied Murat has difficulty accepting his condition.

Süreyya confronts Dilara and pressures her to find out if Adem is their partner in the music school; Bade visits Murat in the hospital; Esma holds a festive meal for the end of the Ramadan fast, and Emir arrives for the meal.

Faruk and Süreyya come to the hospital to get the results of the amniocentesis; Begüm reveals the baby has a genetic problem and may be born with a severe malformation; Süreyya is forced to make a fateful decision concerning abortion.

After Faruk discovers that Fikret is doing non-kosher business with Adem, the police raid Adem's business, and he is arrested; Begüm brings Emir to a music class at school, and Süreyya asks her about the boy's father.

Süreyya surprises Faruk and waits for him on a yacht; Esma consults with a lawyer concerning her late husband's will; Faruk denies Fikret the right to sign, creating a conflict between them.

After Esma learns Reyhan has been her husband's lover for years, and gave birth to Adem, she goes to confront her; Emir discovers the secret that his mother hid.

Esma returns the right of signature to Fikret; Adem tells Dilara that his father was Esma's late husband; Emir runs away from school after realizing his mother has lied about his father his whole life; Faruk is worried and goes to search for him.

Dilara tells Süreyya that Adem is Faruk's brother; Faruk finds Emir and returns him to Begüm, but Emir refuses to talk to his mother; Süreyya consults with her aunt about Adem.

Senem overhears Faruk telling his mother that Emir is his son; Süreyya arrives at the hospital for an examination and learns that the fetus has died in her womb; she is immediately transferred for surgery; Fikret and his wife are expecting.

Süreyya returns home after the miscarriage, shutting herself in her room and mourning the loss; Faruk tries to get her out of her depression; Senem tells Faruk that she knows he is Emir's father.
