The fate of a small boy hangs in the balance due to a maze of untruths. The Heelers search for the missing five-year-old Zac. When his mother, Heather, is beaten up badly, his stepsister Ginny swears that it was Heather's ex, Barry.

Visiting salesman George Patterson's car is stolen, and when it's recovered by Wayne, he claims that his two jackets are missing. Following his claim, nosy neighbor Graham McCann states that he saw Wayne take the jackets.

Lee Sutcliffe, the daughter of convicted child killer Clive Royce Ostroff, and her husband become the targets of a terror campaign after Clive is granted early release. Clive had murdered 9-year-old Rebecca Rees fourteen years ago.
