Mike Hammer attempts to investigate the dumping of toxic chemicals in the Hudson River. While searching for the real culprit, a journalist winds up dead and Hammer begins to suspect his own client.

A prostitute and a priest both end up dead, and Mike Hammer is not the forgiving type. Hammer follows the case to find the man who's targeting hookers and the holy man that wanted to protect them.

A janitor named Andy is embroiled in a murderous plot that leaves a stock broker dead. When Andy finds the body and incriminates himself, Hammer is the only person that can clear his name.
