Years after a promise was made, one brother has forgotten and the other decides to give him a little push.

Mutta is accepted for the New Astronaut Selection Exam, but is uneasy about his second interview.

Applicants begin to fall out of the running as Mutta realizes people think his brother's influence is what has allowed him to get so far; Serika seems to taking an interest in Mutta.

The second round of examinations come to a close and Mutta's worries begin to grow; Kenji gets Serika's email.

Hibito invites his brother to visit him at NASA where expresses his disappointment in the lack of competitiveness Mutta is displaying.

JAXA learns of the incident that got Mutta fired from his previous job.

Hibito notices a change in Mutta's behavior; Hoshika struggles to convince another JAXA judge to change his mind about Mutta.

Mutta becomes a hero after apprehending the fire extinguisher wielding robber and his parents inform him he's passed the second examinations.

Despite having a dream that leaves him unsettled, Mutta, Serika and Kenji celebrate making it to the third exam.

Mutta questions his motives; Kenji and the other applicants must fill out surveys that are about each other.

The final fifteen candidates are split into three teams and sealed in an enclosed environment for two weeks.

Serika thinks back to the time she asked her father about the meaning of her name; the teams must learn to manage their food supplies.

The exam continues as the candidates must defend government funding of space exploration.

Naoto's glasses are broken when Yasushi steps on them, but he's determined to not let it hinder his capabilities.

Team B is on edge when an alarm goes off in the middle of the night; Team A realizes its clock has gone missing; the applicants are given a new task.

The puzzle challenge has been completed, but Team B continues to be plagued by the alarm; Team A faces a food shortage and an alarm issue of its own.

Mutta finds out that Naoto and Yasushi were ordered to break the clock and set off the alarm; Serika confesses about the food shortage to Mutta.

Mutta is given orders to make random noises throughout the day; Team B continues to face issues; Kenji is put under pressure to withdraw from the selections.

After revealing they don't have any food left, Mutta gathers ingredients to make udon; the team realizes it must choose only two to become astronauts.

The last day of the exam arrives and Team A struggles to decide on a method of choosing two astronauts.

The exam comes an end and Mutta and Kenji discuss how those who weren't selected may still have a chance.

JAXA and NASA both consider the remaining candidates while Mutta reflects on his lack of good luck.

After hearing from JAXA about when he is to go to Houston and learning that Kenji was chosen alongside him, Mutta decides to head to Houston ahead of schedule.

While Hibito trains for his moon mission, Mutta does some lawn mowing for Ozzy and has dinner with Jennifer and Lowry, Hibito's backup.

Mutta sees Hibito piloting a jet craft; Hibito is moved into quarantine prior to launch.

The interviews are over and the candidates have a celebratory meal with the examiners, who are still making observations outside of an exam environment.

Mutta gives an honest reply after being asked a particularly severe question by Azuma.

Hibito comes up with a plan to stop the the bullying of Mutta by those who don't believe him about the UFO.

Mutta's mother visits on the night before Hibito's launch; Hibito is optimistic about the launch.

Mutta meets a NASA employee who shows him some abandoned training facilities and a spectacular view of the launch pad.

Mutta remembers a broadcast that gave him the encouragement to become an astronaut.

The candidates celebrate the launch and head back to Japan; Mutta stays in Houston until his brother lands on the moon.

As he approaches the moon, Hibito receives a video from Mutta; Japan tunes in to watch the moon landing.

Hibito notices something shiny on the Moon's surface; Mutta arrives in Japan thinking he's used up all his luck.

Kenji receives his call from JAXA and thinks back to how his life used to be.

Serika visits her father's grave and recalls her childhood and her inspiration to become an astronaut.

Hoshika asks an increasingly anxious Mutta to meet him at a park to deliver his exam results.

Mutta gets through the conference; the gang gets together and Naoto joins them in celebration.

Mutta and the others start at JAXA; on the moon, Hibito and Damian struggle with the tricks the moon plays on perception.

After being separated from Damian, Hibito makes a discovery.

Hibito's oxygen is dwindling, but Mutta is certain he can help save him.

Hibito can either fire a flare to show his position, or use it to help Damian.

Hibito finds the memento left by his mentor as the oxygen in his suit runs out.

Freddy, Saturn and Buddy Walters discuss what Brian taught them; Hibito makes another promise to Mutta.

Mutta visits Sharon and is later given some big news.

The astronaut trainees head to Houston; Mutta attracts attention at the airport.

Mutta asks Murasaki about the training program; a party is thrown for the trainees.

Training begins, and the group's first test is a nice walk through the desert.

Mutta's team sets up camp for the night and are informed that they are last in the rankings.

When Nitta loses his phone and goes back and look for it, Mutta chooses to go with him.

Mutta and Nitta discuss their relationships with their brothers; Kazuya researches the astronauts.
