The Girl Scout Murders

In June 1977, two bus loads of Girl Scouts from Tulsa arrive in the woods of the nearby Cherokee reservation; their first night there turns to horror when three of the girls -- ages 8, 9, and 10 -- are discovered beaten and murdered.

After a 10-month manhunt, suspect Gene Leroy Hart is captured alive, and a controversial trial leaves more questions than answers; 45 years later, the possibility of answers arises when a local author makes an unexpected discovery.

Oklahoma author Faith Phillips discovers new details about who may have committed the Girl Scout murders; when she tries to give her findings to local law enforcement, police insist the original suspect was guilty.

Faith's attempt to get law enforcement to look at her evidence gets a boost with a U.S. Supreme Court decision, and a new review of the Girl Scout murders is set to begin; her goal is achieved, but her journey into this tragedy is far from over.
